1) Christ Care leaders pray
regularly for group members.
2) They prepare for and lead
the four activities that ChristCare groups do:
community building and care, Biblical equipping,
prayer and worship, and missional service.
3) ChristCare Group Leaders make sure that group
members receive the care
they need. Generally this is during the group
meeting, but sometimes it can be outside of the
meeting time.
4) They are in contact with group members. If
someone misses a meeting they follow up with them.
If there are changes in the meeting time or place,
the ChristCare Group Leader communicates that
with members. They also communicate
encouragement and concern between group meetings.
5) ChristCare Group Leaders work with members
and Equippers to bring new members into the group.
They also encourage group
members to grow in their relationship with
each other and with God.
6) They recruit and work
with an Apprentice ChristCare Group Leader.
This helps assure the continued growth of ChristCare
Group Ministry at Gloria Dei.
7) All groups eventually end. ChristCare Group
Leaders help their group
close and give birth. They lead them through
the emotional journey of ending their time together
and moving into the new ministries God has for
them.
