A simple man sharing God's Word in Biblical
Equipping
First of all I am a simple man who lives a simple
life. There is nothing complicated about me. I
know God loves me unconditionally even with all
my faults. I am thankful for His mercy and grace.
Glory be to God.
When I look back even five years ago, what a
difference there is in my life. I have read more
in the Bible then ever before. In my understanding
of what God wants of me, I have grown to a new
level. I can surely say I am a happier person.
Reading the Bible privately brings a great sense
of peace and joy. There is so much there.
Biblical Equipping is another level of studying
and living God's Word. I become closer to God
each time I go through the experience, which I
enjoy so much. Biblical Equipping
WOW...
a totally new understanding of God's Word. Let
us take a walk through the following steps.
Step 1 Share
Biblical Equipping is to share in a group. Finding
out that we are all alike in so many ways. You
share what a verse in the Bible meant to you during
the past week. Putting a personal thought to a
better understanding of what God is saying to
you this past week. Other people in my group including
my self grow to a new understanding.
Step 2 Hear
Biblical Equipping is to hear what God is saying.
Well, we just read out loud, each taking a turn
if we want to read aloud. I enjoy that more and
more. We have a moment of silence before we start
to read. I usually pray to myself for God to open
my heart and mind to His Word. I realize that
God is speaking to me in His Word.
Step 3 Explore
Exploring what God is saying in a group discussion
brings a better understanding of what He is saying
to me. We just open new doors of understanding
all the time. This is huge: for me to understand
God's Word in a new level. Good friends in my
group aid me with the Holy Spirit to take another
look at what God is saying to each of us.
Step 4 Connect
This is a way I remember what we just talked
about. Using everyday examples to aid me in my
understanding of life and God's will for me. The
group really helps me to understand and apply
God's Word to every day life.
Step 5 Prepare
That is where my friends help me. They always
say, "Now Rodney, what are you going to do
about what we just read and talked about?"
"I'll try to do what pleases God,"
I say, but I know that is easier said than done
well, a lot easier said than done. After exploring
and connecting with God's Word the process begins
in my life. I can truly say God is there with
thoughts, words in my mouth, and deeds where I
can't but He can. Here I give all glory to Him
for His everyday miracle in my life. Thank you
God in preparing me for each new step.
Step 6 Obey
Well, that is the most difficult for me. I surely
give my best and am so thankful for God's mercy
and grace. Obeying God's Word makes for a happier
life for my family and myself.
Step 7 Meditate
Now I meditate for hours, sometimes in the middle
of the night, a peaceful time for me. I really
come closer to God during this time. I meditate
on the way to work. I meditate after I pray, after
reading God's Word. God usually chooses the time
for me when it seems the best. It is so good to
listen to Him during this time. Yes, I am teachable
some times. God is talking to me during this time
if I can just listen more.
Step 8 Reflect
It is an awesome time for me in the Word when
I get an understanding of what God is doing in
my life. Reflecting is a step forward and upward.
Biblical Equipping has brought me to an all-new
level in my walk with Christ Jesus. I am so thankful
and grateful that God is working in my life to
help me understand His will for me. Thanks be
to God. I understand the Bible a little bit better
each time I open myself up to God and the Holy
Spirit in my heart and mind in Biblical Equipping.
What I know of God's love today is much more of
an understanding of his mercy, grace, honor, and
glory. It is all about Him
all glory and
honor to my Lord, Christ Jesus.
