Part-time Choral Director

We are seeking a part-time music director for the Gloria Dei Chorale.

The candidate will lead worshippers into God’s presence through vocal music in both traditional and contemporary styles.  A degree in vocal music and experience in leading and conducting large ensembles are required.  In addition to worship, the candidate will help to expand performance, musicality and music education at Gloria Dei.  This position will require less than 20 hours per week with required weekend hours.

Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

• Conducting one hour of rehearsal per week (currently scheduled for Wednesdays)
• Performing during worship services on one Sunday per month and additional special holiday services.
• 2 cantata performances per year (Easter and Christmas)
• Organize and facilitate small ensembles
