When you bring your children to Grace Place or Faith Alive this year, please note the following location change:. The “L” wing on the east side of our campus has been completely renovated to graciously host all of our growing children’s programs.

School Year Grace Place
Starts Saturday, Sept. 11 and Sunday, Sept. 12
Saturdays from 5:50-6:30 p.m. and Sundays from 9:20-10 a.m. and 10:50-11:30 a.m.
Preschool (ages 2-5) and Elementary Children (K-5)
Grace Place offers age-appropriate educational opportunities for children ages 2 through grade 5. Families are welcome to worship together before children are excused for Grace Place, or families can take their children to the individual classrooms.

Faith Alive for Preschool (ages 2-5) and Elementary Children (K-5)
Wednesdays from 6-7:15 p.m. - Starts Sept. 15
Families can begin the evening worshipping together in the Sanctuary at 6 p.m. Children ages 2 through grade 5 will then head to their specific classes where they will experience music, play, story reading, crafts and Bible-based Lessons.

Faith Alive Meals
Wednesdays from 5-5:45 p.m. - Starts Sept. 15
We hope our mid-week meals will provide a respite from your busy fall schedule. Enjoy a delicious meal for $4 per adult, $2 child or youth (2 years and under eat free).

Third Grade Bible Highlighting

Third grade students and parents are invited to take a 5-week journey through the Bible, highlighting important scripture passages. |

Bible Study

"The Truth Project"
In a recent study, the Barna Research Group revealed that only nine percent of professing Christians have a biblical worldview. Because of this, today’s believers live very similarly to non-believers. “The Truth Project” is a “Focus on the Family” DVD-based curriculum comprised of twelve one-hour lessons taught by Dr. Del Tackett. Each lesson discusses the relevance and importance of living the Christian worldview in daily life. |

The Wave
The Wave is specifically designed for preteens (grades 3-5) and their friends to come together for fun, energetic fellowship and Bible time! Each month will have a different theme.
Let's go golfing!
Sunday, Sept. 12 from 2-4 p.m.
We’re going Wacky Mini Golfing at Longview Golf Centre in Grimes/Johnston on Sunday, September 14 at 2 pm. We’ll meet at Longview. The cost is $7 per person golfing (includes pop and chips). Feel free to invite your friends and family!

Family Events
Center Grove Orchard
Sunday, Sept. 26 from 2 to 5:30 p.m.
We’re traveling to the Center Grove Orchard, Cambridge, for some apple-picking and farm-playing fun. We’ll have a bonfire and roast hot dogs and have s’mores for dessert. The cost is $7.95 per person (children under 2 are free).
Carving Pumpkins
Wednesday, Oct. 27 from 6-7:15 p.m.
We will carve pumpkins, eat a snack and hear about letting God’s light shine through. Faith Alive will not be held. |

Nursery
Our professionally staffed nursery is located below the Sanctuary and is dedicated to providing excellent care for your newborns and children up to 3 years old. The nursery is open on Saturdays from 5:15-6:30 p.m.; Sundays from 7:45 a.m.-12 p.m.; and Wednesdays beginning at 5 p.m.
In addition, the nursery is opened during most adult activities. If you have any questions concerning the hours, please call the church office today. |

New Life Ministry Partners
Gloria Dei seems to be "busting at the seams" with all the new babies. All these new ones mean lots of activity with the New Life Ministry Action Team.
