In the last year, we have introduced a worship service for families during the 9 a.m. service in the Family Life Center. Many families have enjoyed this new form of worship experience which gives them an opportunity to worship as a family in an inviting and interactive atmosphere.
"This service is so exciting," said Mark and Ann Betten. "We would love to see it thrive and grow beyond the capacity of the Family Life Center."
"I love the energy in the worship," said Jodi Rusch. "My children didn't need activities to keep them occupied because they were actively participating in worship."
Head, Heart, and Hands (H3): After reviewing our first year experience, we are doing some things to enhance this worship experience for families attending. Specifically, we are going to expand the educational avenues of worship through art, theatre and movement. In addition, we are also going to create a more inviting entrance, which will include families greeting, ushering and serving together throughout the worship service.
Summer Grace Place: We are offering Summer Grace Place at 9:20 a.m. for this service and for the traditional service in the sanctuary.
We need your help in the following areas:
Missionary Families: We need families to commit as missionaries to this service for six months. They will serve as ushers, greeters and helpers who create a warm and inviting atmosphere .
Summer Grace Place Teachers and Helpers:
We need people to commit to leading or helping with a Grace Place class during the summer.
We are excited about the changes ahead with this service and view it as a great opportunity to serve not just the members of our congregation but as a great opportunity to reach out to the community with a service they can enjoy with their children.
If you would like to help with this exciting opportunity, please contact DeAnn McCue.
