5:30 p.m. Saturday Northwind Contemporary Service in the Family Life Center

Music type:
Praise music led by a worship leader and praise band, guitar driven.
Music Offerings:
Solos, praise band, children’s choirs.
Worship elements:
Free-flow service that incorporates confession, scripture lessons, and prayers.
Communion:
Continuous flow distribution.
Other Characteristics:
No robes, no acolyte.
Education:
Grace Place offered 20 minutes into the service (5:50 p.m.).

7:45 a.m. Sunday Traditional Service in the Sanctuary

Classical Lutheran worship that utilizes all three liturgies from the new Lutheran Service Book.
Communion offered the first and third Sunday of every month.

Music type:
Hymns from Lutheran Service Book accompanied by organ.
Music Offerings:
Vocal choirs, bell choirs, brass, orchestra.
Worship elements:
Written liturgy from the hymnal, responsive Psalms sung by cantor on occasion, communion liturgy from hymnal.
Communion:
Distributed at the communion rail.
Other Characteristics:
Pastors robed, acolyte.
Education:
Grace Place and adult Bible studies held at 9:20 a.m.

Classical Lutheran worship that utilizes written and free-flow liturgy.
Communion offered the first and third Sunday of every month.

Music type:
Hymns from Lutheran Service Book accompanied by organ.
Music Offerings:
Vocal choirs, bell choirs, brass, orchestra, praise choir, children’s choir.
Worship elements:
Blend between hymnal and free-flow liturgy.
Communion:
Continuous flow distribution.
Other Characteristics:
Pastors robed, acolyte.
Education:
Grace Place offered 20 minutes into the service (9:20 a.m.).

Casual atmosphere where families are encouraged to worship with upbeat hymns and praise music.
Communion offered the second and fourth Sunday of every month.

Music type:
Softer contemporary songs and some hymns with worship band leading all music.
Music Offerings:
Children’s choir, bell choir, brass, orchestra, praise choir. Worship elements:
Free-flow service that incorporates confession, scripture lessons, prayers, and parts of service dedicated to family worship.
Communion:
Continuous flow distribution.
Other Characteristics:
Sermon simulcast from Sanctuary, no robes, no acolyte.
Education:
Grace Place offered 20 minutes into the service (9:20 a.m.).

Take Time to Sing!

For those who have been involved in the choir or for those who would like to join us this spring, please sing with us on Wednesdays, from 6-6:45 p.m. in rooms 134-138. We would love new voices for our 2008 musical offerings. The Gloria Dei Chorale, a 40-50 member adult choir, sings a mix of traditional/traditional blend music twice a month at the 7:45 and 9 a.m. worship services.
